Following the 2011 Americana Music Awards where A2IM member label artists won five of the six awards, in 2012 Independent labels again are leading the way with almost all of the nominations, including all four of the album of the year nominations. Leading the way in nominations is Acony Records’ Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings with a combined four nominations and we also congratulate New West Records with four nominations covering three of their artists. We also congratulate ATO Records, Bloodshot, Icehouse, Red Beet, and sensibility music for their artist’s nominations.
